My name is Simon Silvester and I have been in business designing and making gardens for over 12 years based at Gretton in the north Cotswolds near Winchcombe.

I can do a one off blitz, create a whole new garden, or change a section or problem area into something special.

Every garden has its problems and drawbacks as well as its good points and practical needs that have to be accommodated. By working together with customers I can usually come up with a creative solution.

What I Do

Most of my work is in the £2,000 to £20,000 range. I have planted out 100's of gardens in a wide range of styles from small courtyards to large grounds, from formal to wild, modern and sparse to structural and low maintenance. I have experience of the 'engineering' aspects of disposal of large quantities of spoil, drainage problems, dealing with slopes and levels, handling large rocks, digging ponds, steps, retaining structures etc.

A Little About Me

I have always had an interest in gardens and landscapes and after training at Pershore College of Horticulture have turned a hobby into a successful business. I have visited many many gardens both famous and unknown both here and overseas and keep upto date by being a member of the Royal Horticultural Society. I carry a vast range of practical and design ideas, suitable plants and materials, and experience, but also reckon to learn something new with most new jobs.
